Fly Tipping
Let’s not beat around the bush (!) – fly tipping is an obscene, selfish and utterly anti-social act. The practice can also have serious Health & Safety consequences, particularly for children.

What excuse can there be?  The South Beds District Council provides excellent facilities for the simple and safe disposal of domestic rubbish, and takes worthy steps to re-cycle waste materials and reduce pressure on landfill wherever possible.  Commercial waste is often associated with a disposal charge, but what responsible homeowner would want to employ a trades person who is prepared to dump their old kitchen or bathroom in the countryside to save a few quid?

It’s time for the community to take a stand. Some of the answers are in our own hands. Key ways in which we can improve the situation are simple: local vigilance and a willingness to report all offenders without hesitation.
