The "Drop In" Meets on Thursday mornings in Kensworth Village Hall from 9:00am to 11.00am. Adults pay £1.50 per visit and enjoy tea, coffee, biscuits and conversation. The cost for children is 25p and squash, biscuits and crisps are available; also some toys for the children.

Varsha chases off knife-

Well done to Mrs Varsha Patel of Kensworth Village Stores, whose amazing bravery in facing up to two armed robbers in December has been praised in the national press. Varsha had the presence of mind to throw hot tea at her attackers, followed by the mug itself! Such was the news coverage of this event that the shop’s security cctv footage of the attempted raid, and Varsha’s brave actions, have been posted on the internet.

Bride Paula Prescott was not inclined to go with a boring, traditional mode of transport for her wedding to Robin Kearney on Saturday 20th June 2009. Instead she opted to arrive at St Mary’s Church, Kensworth on ‘Guinness’.
